Spring Break is coming up very quickly and there is still so much to do. Part of what we are required to do by both the school and Habitat for Humanity International is have our legal side of things in perfect order. Basically, we are supposed to be prepared for anything from falling off scafolding or stepping on a nail. We try to keep anything from happening, but you never know. If something like this does happen, we need to be prepared. We keep on file everything from health insurance information to who to contact in case of an emergency. On the SHU side of things, we have all participants sign an alochol contract. By Sacred Heart standards, no students are to drink at a school event. Since this is a school trip, this includes us. By signing the waiver, it is agreed that if you are caught drinking you can be sent home at your own expense (even when our destination requires a plane ticket). Thankfully, we have not had to do this yet, nor do we plan on it. That's it for now.
If you have something you'd like to hear more about, leave a comment and I'll get back to you with a new post!
