Max's blog...

If you haven't noticed lately, businesses are increasingly going electronic with their customer service. The new "live chat" feature that is rising in popularity has been spreading across the business world. Max's blog introduces this feature on his own blog. When he is online, instead of clicking on a sort of a question and answer section, you have the ability to click one a button and instantly connect with Max to chat with him through an instant messaging service called mebo. Check it out. It might be beneficial to your own site. Join the revolution!

Gas Prices!

We all know how bad the prices of gas are right now. However, I've never seen the price of a gallon of premium fuel higher than $3.99. Last night I saw Sunoco selling it for $4.90! That's five bucks a gallon! Most of us are fortunate enough to fill our tanks up, though not happy about spending the money. But what about the millions of people who actually don't have the money to fuel their car to get to work? This article talks about the rising issue our nation is facing and the struggle to keep our lives mobile. The only good thing that may come out of this issue is that with cars on the road less we are helping stop global warming. Maybe that's the governments plan. Not the best way of going about it if that is true, which I trust in the government not to do such a thing.

Prices are alllll over the place...

It's pretty easy to see the price fluctuation in the economy right now. Mostly on the rise, many are struggling to make ends meet. Stock prices are really taking a toll on businesses, especially when concerning public companies stock prices. In this article it talks about the major company, International Paper, and how it's all over the place struggling in some areas. It has become completely unpredictable.

VQUZESHUF is coming...

So this may be the last blog, or at least the second to last blog. As we enter finals it becomes clear that the semester has come to an end. This semester was one of the quickest I have ever experienced. Maybe because it's been so hectic that it went by so quickly; but I wouldn't have changed anything to make it go by slower. It goes by so fast because it's so busy. Ok, I may be a little too involved a lot of the time, but it's those experiences that have made the most use of my college experience. I've met so many people through my involvement and had such a wide variety of experiences that I believe it's contributed to who I've become throughout my undergraduate years. While there maybe a few things I should have changed, it's those mistakes that I learned from to make better decisions in the future.... or at least know which choice I should make.

What will the VQUZESHUF be next year?

Ending the year is not easy when running an organization. It may be an organization through Sacred Heart, but SHU is not easy to deal with when you have their money in your hand. The amount of documentation that has to be completed just to get the money, along with handing any money back to them at the end of the year is ridiculous. We have to fill out an "End of the year report" which doesn't just deal with finances, but what we've completed throughout the entire year. All organizations on campus are required to do a certain amount of projects that include things like a community service project and a school spirit event. It's a little more in depth for Habitat. Listing all of the community service projects takes, well, a long time.

It's all about the VQUZESHUF

There's only a few weeks left of school now before graduation. It's crazy to think of how four years here have gone by so fast. It feels like just yesterday I couldn't believe my freshman year was over. The years have flown by and I've never had time without Habitat. It's weird to think that it won't be part of my everyday life now. It's pretty weird to think that I won't be concerned about something to do with the success of SHU Habitat since it won't be my job to anymore. We'll see how well I adjust. I may be really glad the concern is out of my life, but one thing is for sure. I will miss the organization, that's for sure. The stresses that come with it, well, we will see how much I miss that.... It's a real VQUZESHUF

The end is near

Well, my last year as an undergraduate at Sacred Heart is soon approaching. The other night, we elected the new Habitat executive board for next year. It was bitter sweet. The new board that was elected is awesome. A great mix of people won the election. But at the same time it almost felt like the President, Kaitlin, and I were losing something really important to us. Although we are not losing it, it's a little bit of separation anxiety. SHU Habitat was near extinction when Kaitlin and I arrived as freshman in 2004. We, along with a group of dedicated members through our friends, brought the club to where is now stands, which is very far from where we started. It's hard to let go, but it's time for someone else to take over. Although we still have until the end of the year to remain in charge; and don't think we're not going to take advantage of that time either.
